High School Students Taking College Courses

In 2010, 211,000 students enrolled in degree-granting institutions were between the ages of 14 and 17.

Data suggest that many of these students were enrolled through a dual enrollment program (high school students taking courses for college credit) and others of these students were enrolled outside of a dual enrollment program.   Some students may have been taking coursework both within a dual enrollment program and outside of a dual enrollment program at the same time.
